James 5:16

James 5:16 (New International Version)

16"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

Prayer. How powerful! How rewarding! Yet, how difficult at times? I have  been struggling with setting aside the time for just me and God. I came across this scripture while listening to K-Love on the radio at work.
Spending more time in prayer has really been laid on my heart lately, and I am so glad this scripture was brought to my attention for yet more reasons to be in prayer; for others, for healing, for righteousness...

  1. Prayer is a good thing. We are thankful for the prayers for Lissa recently.
She is doing better, after loosing a lot of blood during the delivery of Charlotte. It will take Lissa 8 weeks to recover. We are thankful that Lissa was in a hospital and that the surgery and blood transfusion went well.

I'm thankful that I can be there to help her out.

We are praying for Lissa's full recovery.

  2. It is so easy for prayer to be crowded out of our lives as we become busy with day to day activites. I know I definitely notice a difference if I go a day or two without my quiet time with God. If God has laid it on your heart, you are so wise to listen. I love the verse you chose...it is a "so that" verse with a promise. Confess so that...you may be healed. I pray for healing in all the areas of your life you are in need of. Thank you for my generous jar of goodies. I know that you took time to make it special for me. I can't wait to start creating with it. Blessings sweet friend, Patty @ seeds of faith
